For decades, other persons and and other companies profited from the research that was able to be done on the HeLa cells without any acknowledge, profit or benefit offered to the family of Henrietta Lacks. Thanks to Henrietta Lacks, legislation has been passed to "study" the reasons for underpresentation among those who have been under-represented in cancer clinical trials. The American Cancer Society has launched a study called Voices of Black Women. The goal is to recruit 100,000 Black women to study lifestyle , dietary habits, health issues and its association with cancer. And pressing question is how do you overcome the mistrust given the history We pose a suggestion for consideration.
